Founded by Evelyn Joung and Yaejin Ahn, both attending the Chapin School in New York City, Meeso is a Korean Cultural Club and a space for students to learn the spirit of Korean Culture (old and modern) and share their enthusiasm about Korean culture. Meeso is the Korean word for 'smile,' and we wish to send smiles to the communities around us by contributing to a deeper understanding of Korean--and more generally Asian--culture in the New York Metropolitan area.
At each meeting, we select a special Korean word and share Korean art and culture (e.g., songs, food, or movies) related to that word. We also conduct fundraising with homemade or premade Korean snacks or sweets through bake sales and use the funds to donate to international nonprofit organizations such as Liberty in North Korea and Stop

Those teens residing in NYC are welcome to join this fun yet impactful program.
